Drugs, alcohol and the effects on the body.

A drug is any substance when introduced to the body via any means that causes Physiological change.

Commonly abuse substances include alcohol, Nicotine in the form of cigarettes, prescribed meds and illegal substances. Most abuse substances of taken in excessive amounts And leads to an overdose.

Persistence of drug or alcohol intoxication or abuse increases the risk of an overdose. Prolonged drug use can lead to a state in which the body becomes conditioned to needing a higher dose than its normally used to get high. This is known as tolerance.

Drugs and alcohol use impacts nearly every part of your body from your head to tour toes.

If untreated, life expectancy of a drug addict is 15 to 20 years after the onset of the joke addiction.

Parts of the body affected by drugs and alcohol

  2. Respiratory system
  3. Liver
  4. Kidneys
  5. Eyes
  6. Heart

Substance addiction is treatable it only takes one high dosage, one bad batch, one shared needle, to severely endanger a user. . If a drug or alcohol addiction develops, know that it is treatable and there is help.
